STORMTRACKER33 — Hurricane Irene is currently moving through the Bahamas as a Category 3 major storm. Irene will continue to track closer to the United States before finally making a potentially historic landfall later this weekend. First to feel impacts will be the outer banks of North Carolina, where she could make landfall as a major hurricane. This would be the first time since Wilma in 2005, that a major hurricane makes landfall in the United States. After North Carolina, Irene looks to run along the entire Northeast coast, and could potentially impact millions of people from Washington D.C. to New York City.
