Baton Rouge, La. — The Baton Rouge Fire Department responded to reports of a house fire today, Monday, Aug 22, just after noon. When fire fighters arrived on the scene they found the house fully engulfed in flames.
The resident smelled smoke and was then alerted by neighbors that the house was on fire. She escaped the home unharmed. The house on 69th St. sustained damages estimated to be around $35,000.
Red Cross was called to the scene to assist the family.
