Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The length of time minors can work is changing.
According to the new law minors fourteen and fifteen years old can start work as early as 7:00 in the morning.
They can work until 9:00 at night, but only during the summer.
The kids will also need to have documented thirty minute meal breaks from now on.
The employers will also have to keep a record of them being employed at a current jobsite up to two weeks after they're released from that job.
The Louisiana Workforce Commission says the law conforms to current federal guidelines.
