NBC News — New riots overnight spread to other parts of Great Britain. Rioters clashed with police, smashed stores, looted and burned down several buildings. Tuesday morning, several of the fires were still burning, including a massive fire at 200,000 square foot Sony distribution warehouse.
Local media are now reporting that one person was killed in the clashes, a 26-year-old man who was shot in a car. The violence is the worst Great Britain has seen in decades. Thousands of extra police are being called in, some officials are even calling for the government to bring in the military to restore the peace.
