Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Mayor-President Kip Holden has asked council members to come forward with questions about his new bond proposal, but the mayor says no one has as of today.
Holden's third attempt at the bond issue was shot down at the last council meeting. Then, the council voted against putting the issue of the November ballot in a 9-3 majority vote.
On August 10, Holden will give a presentation and the general public will be able to comment on the issue.
After that, the council will vote one more time what the next step for the proposal will be, if there are any further steps.
