BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A new study shows that all you have to do to get people in Louisiana to volunteer their time is ask.
62 percent of us here in the Bayou State will volunteer their time if asked, and that's exactly what Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne did today.
A new campaign called "All We Need is U" aims at getting more people in the community involved with volunteer projects.
"All of us can help in some manner or form and we're just trying to make certain Louisianaians respond to the call," Dardenne explained.
The study also showed that 51 percent of people are already involved with volunteer work in Louisiana. People between the age of 35-44 years old have the highest rate of service.
