Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Local teachers are getting a taste of the newest technology available in the classroom at the 4th Annual Teachers Expo, where educators learned how to use iPads as a teaching tool.
Organizers say technology is being used more and more in the classroom, giving teachers new ways to reach out to their students.
Today, they learned the basics: how to find new apps and how to stay updated on the newest technology.
Edna Stepteau with Exceptional Student Services said, "Everything is changing so fast. We downloaded apps and prepared our iPads, but even today there are new apps out there."
This is the first time a seminar like this has been given at the expo. Organizers say the response has been very positive.
