Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — We're learning more tonight about how Mayor Kip Holden plans to spend almost a million dollars worth of homeland security grant money.
According to this plan obtained by NBC33 News, Holden hopes to purchase lots of what he calls inter-operable communications equipment. The plan includes spending money for iPads, classroom upgrades, and even a video wall.
Yesterday was the deadline for Holden to submit the plan. You may remember that the mayor's gone on the record saying he doesn't agree with the way GOHSEP is handing out the money.
