BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — The East Baton Rouge Parish Animal Control and Rescue Center wants a new partner to take over its shelter operations. Director Hilton Cole says the deal would save animals’ lives and help better serve the Parish. He says the shelter has been understaffed for years.
CAA, or the Companion Animal Alliance is ready to move in, but the Baton Rouge Metro Council has to approve the change first. That vote is July 27th.
All of the animals featured in the attached video segment are up for adoption. If you’d like to make one a part of your family, you can contact EBR Animal Control at (225) 774-7700 or online at brgov.com/dept/animal/
