BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) — A shootout overnight at a Baton Rouge apartment complex has detectives searching for several gunmen today. East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Deputies were called out to St. Jean Apartments on S. Harrell’s Ferry just before 9pm Monday. That’s after an argument brewing for months, turned violent.
Deputies say four people in a car opened fire on another group of people, standing beside an apartment building. Then those people started shooting back. Luckily, no one was hurt.
Deputies say the two groups have been feuding for two months, but did not say why. So far, no arrests have been made.
