BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A tow truck shut down a train this morning. That incident happened on Airline Highway near Choctaw. Traffic was backed up for an hour while the railroad company inspected the damage.
Shortly after 9:00 a.m. a tow truck attempted to beat a train. He was towing another tow truck that was being taken in for repairs. That haul made him too long and the back of the second truck was clipped by the train.
No one was hurt in the accident, but the driver was cited for disobeying a rail road crossing.
