BATON ROUGE, La (NBC33) — Billy Nungesser, the man who was front and center after the B.P. oil spill is now a candidate for the second highest office in the Bayou State and he knows what he's going to do first if elected, "make sure we get, we maximizes the B.P. money. i think we need to back to B.P. for additional money."
He also didn't mince words when talking about the man whose position he's trying to take, current Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne, "he's just not a team player. He's not a guy that out there working hard everyday to do the right thing for Louisiana."
Dardenne says Billy's wrong and he's kept his promises to the citizens of Louisiana, "clearly I'm doing exactly what I said I would do. i'm doing exactly what billy told people i would do seven months ago. i think people recognize i'm work hard everyday for the past seven months to change louisiana and deliver a positive message for louisiana."
Dardenne is talking about Nungesser endorsing Dardenne when he first ran for Lieutenat Governor during November of 2010. So we asked Billy why the change of opinion about the Lieutenant Governor? Nungesser says, "He had eight months to do the job. He hasn't done it."
