Lafayette, La (NBC33) — On June 18, Lafayette Police responded to a crash at the I-10 and 1-49 interchange.
According to traffic investigators, a Mazda Miata was traveling west on I-10, when it lost control and crossed the median into the eastbound lane. The Mazda struck a Jeep traveling east on I-10, causing the Jeep to overturn.
The driver of the jeep, a 43 year-old male was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Mazda received only minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
