Plane Crash kills three in Crowley
CROWLEY, LA (NBC33) - December 19, 2010 - The FAA says a plane crashed around 4:30 Saturday afternoon in Crowley. Three people have been killed, and two injured.
FAA spokesman Lynn Lundsford said witnesses reported seeing the plane take off from LeGros memorial airport in Acadia around 2:30, and then crash.
Lundsford says the plane was 200 feet up when the pilot tried to come back to the runway.
The condition of the injured passengers is unknown. The crash is currently under investigation by the FAA, and Acadia parish sheriff's office.
