Orleans - New Orleans police say the body of a missing teen was pulled from Lake Pontchartrain Monday morning. Family members say the body of Vilder Ariel Lopez, was found after seven this morning near the old Pontchartrain Beach.
Family members said the teen was diving about 3:30 Saturday after he went under the water and never resurfaced. This morning Lopez's family returned to continue their search, and found Lopez's body trapped in some rocks near the area he was last seen and called police.

Ascension - Parish Council unanimously voting to stand against transferring the Governor's Office of Elderly Affairs to DHH. The resolution was brought up at a meeting last week. A spokesperson for the Council on Aging in the parish says the combination at offices at the state level is a step in the wrong direction.

Livingston - If you're looking to snag a good read from the main branch of the Livingston Parish Library System... You'll have to wait.
That library is closed "today" to prepare for a "new" four-million dollar facility.
That one will open on Iowa street may first. Officials say they're conducting training so the new library will be ready to operate at full capacity.
