Capital Area United Way holds Super Tax Day at BRCC
Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — Saturday at BRCC, The Capital Area United Way is helping people get their taxes done with a free tax service.
Tax season's coming up, and people in Baton Rouge are trying to make sure they get the most on their return.
United Way officials say most tax services charge between 200-400 dollars just to have your taxes prepared.
The United Way says they're happy to help, because some people may qualify for up to 5,000 dollars on their return. And with out the help of volunteers, those people would never see that money.
"We feel like we're doing a great community service, for having this available, and we just want people to know about it, and if they can't come here, we do have sites throughout the region, and they can dial 2-1-1 to findout who's closest to them, " said Event Coordinator Samuel Sanders.
