BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Some local fifth graders are living proof "the arts" are alive and well in East Baton Rouge Parish.

The students at Wedgewood Elementary put on the Disney classic "The Jungle Book." They sang and danced while telling the story of Mowgli and his pals, King Louie and Baloo the bear.

The kids have been working hard for months with their teachers, Mr. Hamilton and Miss King to make the production a success.
