Carencro, La (NBC33) — Storm drains, bayous, rivers were all overwhelmed by a storm that people living near Carencro said seemed to just sit right over them, dumping over thirteen inches of rain in the process.
State officials say the water is on the way back down.
StormTracker 33 meteorologist Chris Paulsen reports says people are being let back into their homes after being forced out yesterday. Parts of the area say 15 inches of rain yesterday alone.
No injuries or deaths were reported, but homes and businesses have lots of damage.
