Top chefs compete to be king of Louisiana seafood

Over the weekend top chefs competed to be the king of Louisiana seafood cooking. The competition was held in the capitol of cuisine, New Orleans.

Chefs from all over Louisiana put out their best seafood recipes. But only one could be the king - and that was Corey Bahr, Executive Chef of Sage Restaurant in Monroe.

"We did a north delta bouillabaisse,” Bahr said just moments after the announcement of his big win. “We used four different sustainable Louisiana seafood products. We cooked them simply, served them simply, and came away with the win, which was incredible."

The competition was sponsored by the Louisiana Seafood Marketing Board.

Second place went to Diana Chauvin from La Thai Uptown in New Orleans. Third place went to Keith Frentz of Lola Restaurant in Covington.
