Southern University hosts Anti-Bullying conference

State healthcare professionals and school personnel gathered at the Crowne Plaza Hotel saturday to develop anti-bullying practices.

The "Bullying: A Call for Action" Conference is sponsored by Southern University's division of Continuing Education.

The goal of this conference is to develop strategies to combat cyber and physical bullying among youths.

The conference featured nationally recognized presenters along with local experts in the field of adolescent behavior.

Topics included behavioral and anti-bullying tools for parents, educators, youth group leaders, public housing officials, and law enforcement officials.
