'She Rocks': Local women honored for pursuing their dreams
BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — Three local women who were honored today in Baton Rouge are proof positive that there's always more to a woman than her looks.
Laronda Daigle, Havilah Malone, and Kim Matsko couldn't be more different from one another.
Daigle has been with Mary Kay for more than twenty years and has been so successful at it that last year, she became the first direct sales person to receive baton rouge business report's influential women in business award.
Havilah Malone is a best selling author who hosts her own radio show, and does motivational speaking.
And Kim Matsko is a singer who owns her own yoga studio and opened the first cole-pressed juicery in Louisiana.
The one thing they have in common is that they followed their dreams, and that's what the "She Rocks" awards are all about.
Today's awards were part of the Women's Prosperity Network's "Shine Your Light Extravaganza!”
The goal of WPN is to transform traditional networking for women from the business card swap to a place where you make real connections and find inspiration.
They meet monthly in Baton Rouge. Click here for more information.
