One lucky man got the phone call of a lifetime from NBC33 this morning.

"I had to apologize for cursing,” Robert Hauptman, the winner of the NBC33 Superday Flyaway Contest, said with a laugh when claiming his prize. “I couldn't believe someone was telling me I'm going to the Super Bowl."

The New York-native moved to Louisiana several years ago to marry his wife, Tammy. He says they watch NBC33 News every night, and he decided to enter the contest after seeing the first keyword.

His win is made even sweeter given his hometown team, the Giants, are playing in the big game. What makes the win that much better is that he gets the chance to share the moment with his brother, Kevin, who suffers from terminal cancer.

Robert says that he and his brother never really got the chance to go to sporting events when they were kids. Now, he can't believe that he will get the chance to live out the moment with the brother who means so much to him.

"I never imagined I'd ever go to a Super Bowl,” he said. “You see these commercials all the time for people winning tickets to the Super Bowl and stuff like that. Never, never imagined I'd be the one to go to the Super Bowl.”

Along with two tickets to the game, Robert and his brother will fly to the game from the Baton Rouge Airport, and we will provide their hotel room, too!

If you missed out on this super-sized prize, you can make sure not to miss out next time. All you need to do is log on to NBC33 Facebook page.

We have another huge contest starting soon.
