There are lots of Mardi Gras parades happening all over Louisiana today, but there's one town that won't be celebrating.

White Castle leaders decided to cancel their annual Mardi Gras parade. That's after one of their own was shot and killed during a parade in neighboring Plaquemine over the weekend.

Residents are frustrated by the quick decision, saying they look forward to the parade every year.

NBC33's Kelsey Scram will have reaction from residents coming up on NBC33 News at 5:00.
