A University of Colorado freshman had a chance of a lifetime encounter with President Obama yesterday when he made an un-scheduled stop at a restaurant in Boulder.

Kolbi Zerbest thought she was at the right place at the right to shake hands with the President when things took a messy turn.

Much to her embarrassment, the incident had the President and his secret service detail searching for napkins.

"You've got a good story to tell,” President Obama said with a laugh when the incident happened. “You can say, well, I just spilled yogurt all over the President and the secret service.”

Zerbest talked about the incident this morning on “The Today Show.”

"As soon as he comes toward us a little bit more, paparazzi come rushing behind us and right as I'm shaking his hand, the paparazzi kicks the bowl that I'd placed on the ground onto the President and it was mine, so obviously I took the blame for it."

According to the White House, mishaps like this occur frequently when the President is interacting with excited crowds.
