ASCENSION PARISH, La (NBC33) — Work crews in Ascension Parish spending their morning moving a large bottleneck of trash from Bayou Manchac. That's located about a mile down river in Ascension Parish. Now, they're asking for your help.

The group will be out all weekend for what they're calling an emergency two-day trash sweep. The goal is pick up all the litter that's left behind.

The sweep happens Saturday and Sunday and starts at 8 a.m.
