An 18-yea- old Prairieville man fighting cancer for years is giving back by raising money for cancer charities.

Trevor Vampran has been fighting cancer since he was 14.

This young man has been back and forth to treatment, from Baton Rouge to Memphis.

And all along the way, he's raised money for the American Cancer Society, St. Jude Children's hospital, and lots of others including his own charity.

He says he does it to help other kids.

"You just wanna get through it, and go on to live another day, and you don't want anything to slow you down, if it's hanging out with your friends, going to the movies, you're gonna do what you can just to be yourself and be normal." - said Vampran

Trevor and his Family ....Truly are my Hero's! My favorite saying is "When the going gets tough, the tough get going" and I find it AMAZING that Trevor plans to enter the Medical Field to help those who are in need! Trevor is living proof ....That He was raised right.....Trevor, YOU are just another reason why I BELIEVE Louisiana People are ...SIMPLY THE BEST! FLORIDA LOVES YOU !!!!!!!

You inspire us all to do better and more. Hope you continue to work hard and continue to make a difference in our community.

I have been know this young man for a few years now, seen him on his ups and downs, but talking to him you would never know when he is down, he never complains, always thinking of others and wanting to help others. I have asked Trevor to help me a few times and not knowing he was in pain, he always said yes with a big smile. I just love that kid. He has the longest and most crazy road I have ever seen a cancer child have to travel, but in the end he will SHINE!! I hope everyone gets a chance to meet this young man, we can learn a lot from him. Think you are having a bad day, just rmember this young man and smile.

Go T-Rev! We are proud of you. Keep up the hard work. Hope to see you at the TEAM TREVOR day at the Tikki Hut on July 31.

I'm proud of you Trevor!

I first started following Trevor's story a few years ago. A year ago, I had the honor and privilege of meeting him. He is a true hero. He and his family are warriors in the battle to find a cure.

I have been following Trevor and his recovery for a few years now. To say he is a remarkable young man is an understatement. He deserves every honor that can be bestowed on him. Yes, he's been through a lot in his battle against leukemia, but he has taken what he has gained and given it back by raising funds for St. Jude Hospital and many other cancer-fighting organizations. I am proud to call him a friend.

Trevor Vampran is a hero to all who know him! Despite his own problems he is quick and eager to comfort all the children at St. Jude and help them thru their nightmares. Love you Trevor....keep up the good work!!

Trevor represents St. Jude, American Cancer Society very well! Way to go Trevor. Keep on doing what you do.
