Local musician reflects on life of music icon, Don Cornelius

BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — A Baton Rouge musician was devastated to learn about the death of “Soul Train” founder, Don Cornelius.
Guy Brody has lived in Baton Rouge for years. He says he never expected someone with so much to be proud of to commit suicide.
Brody had several projects with Cornelius and he says he brought so much to so many more people than just those in the music world.
“Here’s a guy that influences so many generations of not just black people but people period,” Brody told NBC33 News. “With ‘Soul Train’ that influenced fashion, it influenced so many generations and so many people
Brody went on to say he has nothing but good memories when it comes to the legendary musician.
