"I'm proud to be from where I'm at, just like to come home and it's nothing but smiles and open arms, so just come out and have a good time," said Kansas City Chiefs Defensive Tackle, Glenn Dorsey.

Dorsey was out in Gonzales Saturday putting on his fourth annual Easter Bash.

This event was for kids in the community, and to benefit his charity, the "Dream Bigger Foundation”.

"For them to come out and see a professional football player it kinda does a lot for them," said Dorsey.

But Dorsey said his trip home is more than a homecoming, it's a chance to give local kids a good example.

"You know, it’s never too late to straighten up, and just listen to their parents, and get their grades right, but it's never too late, they can always turn around and do the right thing," he said.

Parents like Kay Campbell says it does a lot for her son.

"He does this every year, it's just a big ol' celebration, actually we don't live too far from here, and he's got the eggs, and jumpin, and easter bunny and everything," Campbell said.

With all the Spacewalks, face painting, and of course, Easter Egg hunts, it was a great way to spend a beautiful Easter afternoon.

"Its always good, its good when you can reunite with everybody," said Campbell.

For Dorsey, it's about the kids, and he says it gets bigger and bigger every year.

"A lot of great people, a lot of great smiles, and a tremendous community," he said.
