Staff of the St. Elizabeths Hospital in Gonzales were awaiting the arrival of those individuals injured at the Williams Olefins plant explosion that claimed the life of Zachary C. Green, 29, of Hammond.

The photo shows the staff joining together as one, ready to take on both the mission of the hospital and the challenges their jobs bring them.

Officials say all of the 839 individuals at the Williams Olefins Plant in Geismar have been accounted for and 77 people were treated for injuries. Hospitals report that they saw workers with burns, cardiac and respiratory issues and blunt trauma.

There are three additional patients who are being treated for critical injuries. They are located at the Baton Rouge General and Our Lady of the Lake.

What hospital? WWWWWH. Journalism 101.

Thank you for believing in God and asking for His divine intervention in helping to treat the victims. So many Drs. act as if they are God. So good to know there are still God fearing people in the medical setting. May God bless each of you!
