Crime studies show that 80% of all crimes are related to illegal drug use. But how do drug addicts kick the habit?
At the Hope for Life Recovery and Treatment Center in Baton Rouge, the recovery begins when someone reaches out for help.

Patrice Butler heads up Hope for Life Recovery in Baton Rouge. It's a faith-based outpatient facility.

The staff provides 4 months of specialized treatment aimed and getting people off drugs or alcohol and giving them their life back.

“It helps that people to realize - I do have an illness,” stated Dr. Butler. “It can be treated, and I can recover and become a responsible adult."

Tomorrow night on NBC33 News at 10, we tell you the story of one young man who's turned his life around thanks to the hope for life recovery center. Meet Joseph Dunn of Baton Rouge tomorrow night.
