A brother and sister have brought a world championship home to Port Allen.

Port Allen natives Cydney and Corey Free won the Ranch Sorting title in Oklahoma.

Ranch Sorting is a sport where two riders try to work together to cut out the right cattle and drive them in to the pen. Cydney says she loves competing in Ranch Sorting with her younger brother, "I like you know practicing with him because we get to practice as a team more often, so we usually ride better together when we go to a show."

Port Allen had its first Ranch Sorting event Saturday morning at the Louis Mouch Multipurpose Center.
