Baton Rouge, La — On Wednesday, February 29, the Whole Foods Market Arabella Station, Baton Rouge and Veterans stores donated five percent of their net sales to the Brees Dream Foundation’s hunger initiatives, which totaled more than $17,500 and will feed more than 70,000 women and children in the Horn of Africa.
In 2011, Drew Brees became a National Ambassador against Hunger for the United Nations World Food Program (WFP), which feeds more than 90 million people in over 70 countries every year and is funded entirely by voluntary donations.
Through his foundation and collaboration with WFP, Brees will work on a variety of projects to address hunger in communities around the world.
