BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Last night the Baton Rouge community came together to raise money for one of our own who was injured in the line of duty.
In his second deployment, Jeffery Argrave, was shot in the back of the neck in Afghanistan. Now, area businesses are pitching in to help raise money to pay for a wheelchair assessable home.
Green Leaf Custom Homes and Homes For Our Troops are just a few of those who helped put on the fundraising event at the Londoner, located on Sherwood Forest Blvd.
Argrave said the whole experience made him feel humble.
"I like being independent, but it’s awesome to see all these people out here to help me,” he told NBC33 News. “It is a whole different side of life - to accept all of this."
All proceeds from the event at the Londoner go towards Jeff's new home. If you would like to make a donation, click here.
