GLADEWATER, TX (KETK) — An East Texas family's troubles have gone viral via Facebook and now the nation is praying for them.
This is the story of the Browns from Gladewater, Texas.
Sean grew up with a love for hunting and Heather for shoes, but they soon found each other-- their true love. He got a job with the Gladewater Police Department and he turned that service into one for his country, becoming a soldier in the National Guard.
The couple decided to have a baby and after seven years, they received the good news -- they were having a baby boy.
On September 15, with Heather 34 weeks pregnant, she was taken to the hospital with a headache and back pain while her husband was serving in Afghanistan. When Heather arrived at the hospital, she began to suffer from seizures and a major brain bleed.
Their baby, Michael Thomas Brown, was delivered early by C-section, and the new mother fell into a coma. Michael was taken to a nearby hospital and placed in NICU.
After the longest 72 hours of Sean's life, he made it back home from Afghanistan. He was given an emergency police escort from Tyler Pounds Regional Airport to meet his newborn son. Michael was able to recover and returned home as a healthy five pound boy.
Heather remains in coma with Sean a constant presence at her side. Doctors warn she may never come out of the coma.
Family, friends, and unknown people with big hearts from across the nation have banded together to lift up the Browns through their prayers. They have even created a Facebook page called 'Bringing Home the Browns' that has over 473,000 'Likes' in the past month and is rapidly growing. They ask everyone to share this story with anyone who will listen.
Those wishing to mail cards or gifts to the Browns should send it to PO Box 644, Gladewater, TX 75647.
Finally, they ask for you prayers to help Bring Home the Browns!
