Gonzales, La (NBC33) — There’s something a little different at this year’s Jambalaya Festival. For the first time in the event’s history, there will be a 3-D cake with, of course, a Jambalaya theme.

When it's completed, the cake will be six feet tall and eight feet wide. That’s big enough for a thousand slices.

The Jambalaya Festival started on Thursday and runs through Sunday. At noon on Sunday, the finished cake will be shown off at the festival.
