Baton Rouge, La (NBC33) — The 19th Judicial Drug Court program rolled up their sleeves Saturday to clean up one of Baton Rouge's oldest cemetaries.

Sweet Olive Cemetery has been a popular resting place for Baton Rouge citizens since the early 1900's.

Over 70 drug court participants restored graves and cleared debris at the Sweet Olive Cemetery Saturday. 

Johnny Rankins was one of many who's life was made right by the 19th Judicial Drug Program, and he's happy to be cleaning a cemetery on a Saturday morning.

"I'm happy to be here. I'm happy to be a part of this, to give back to the community. Like I said, the 19th Judicial Drug Court Treatment Center has helped me, and this is my way of helping back," said Rankins.
