Wilson appoints new mayor

The village of Wilson has a new mayor.

Town officials reportedly held an emergency meeting, Wednesday. Marilyn Broadway was appointed mayor. She was a village alderman.

On March 27th, former mayor Joshua Thomas lost a recall election.

In the following days, several other Wilson officials stepped down, including the police chief and the town clerk.
