Voodoo CEO charged with rape
NEW ORLEANS, La (WVLA) – Music fans are shocked to learn that CEO of Rehage entertainment, Steve Rehage, was arrested on a rape charge.
The former football player turned concert producer was booked into the Orleans Parish Prison on Friday, Nov. 5. He was charged with simple rape, according to jail records, and was released on a $10,000 bond.
“Stephen Rehage has been a prominent member of the New Orleans business community for many years,” Pat Fanning, the attorney representing Rehage, said in an official statement. “His reputation has been unblemished and he has been involved in numerous charitable activities. He has now been wrongly accused of a crime, which he did not commit. It is his intention to vigorously defend himself against these unfounded allegations and he is confident that when this matter is concluded he will be vindicated.”
As the CEO of Rehage Entertainment, he produces such festivals as Essence and the Voodoo Experience annually. The Voodoo Experience, which is now in its twelfth year of operation, is held over Halloween weekend and brings hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city.
