(NBC) — The uniforms the US Olympic team will be wearing for Sochi’s opening and closing ceremonies were unveiled on the today show Thursday morning.
The today team was joined for the unveiling by two members of the u-s curling team.
Colored in red, white and nazy, the uniforms by ralph lauren could be described as very patriotic.
They may remind you of a quilt.
That's by design.
"Ralph Lauren was inspired by the classic Americana patchwork quilts and sweaters. So we're trying to do something by hand made in America so we're very excited," said David Lauren, Ralph Lauren’s Executive VP.
Jessica Schultz and Jared Zezel of the USA Curling Team are proud to be wearing the uniforms.
“We're very excited and very thrilled to be walking in the opening and closing ceremonies in this gear. It's great," said Schultz.
Zezel added, “It's awesome. I'm American, too, so I mean it's very patriotic looking. It's great. We'll look very good."
