UPDATE: Man arrested in connection with death of woman in Airline Hwy crash

BATON ROUGE (NBC33) — Update 05-26-14: Baton Rouge Traffic Investigators have charged Thomas Moore III, 24 in connection with Friday's fatal crash, which killed 37-year-old Lahisha Walls.
After receiving an anonymous tip from the community, police learned that Moore was driving northbound on Airline Highway in the right, outside lane. Moore tried to change lanes, not observing the Walls's car.
As Walls swerved to avoid a collision with Moore, she crossed the median into oncoming traffic.
Moore refused to stop after the crash.
Moore has been charged with Felony Hit and Run and Driving on Roads Laned for Traffic and Drivers Must be Licensed.
Moore was later booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
The Baton Rouge Police Department reports that 37-year-old Lahisha Walls, 37, died in a car crash on Friday morning.
Officers say the accident happened in the 9500 block of Airline Highway areound 8:10 a.m.
According to a police report, Walls was driving northbound and crossed the median into oncoming traffic.
An 18-wheeler hit the passenger side of Walls’s car. Walls died at the scene. Police say both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
