UL students protest death of higher education
LAFAYETTE, La (WVLA) Students at the University of Lafayette voiced their concerns today over recent budget cuts. Hundreds gathered in the quad to mark what they feel is the death of higher education. A faux graveyard was created to reiterate the point.
The protest is a part of a greater national campaign. Various university systems across the country are facing similar budget constraints such as the ones seen in Louisiana.
