Two people are dead and one person is injured after police say an ex-employee went on a shooting spree.

It happened just before 2:00 Wednesday at Grady Crawford Construction on Greenwell Springs Road.

Police say 53 year old Richard Matthews from Slaughter killed two secretaries and injured a dispatched.

They go on to say Matthews left the building, reloaded, and went back inside.

We're told four workers at the plant were able to wrestle Matthews to the ground before he could keep firing.

He's in the East Baton Rouge prison facing 2 counts of First Degree Murder and 2 counts of Attempted Murder.
