STORMTRACKER 33 — A large Tropical Wave extends from the Southern Cape Verde Islands westward has become better organized and thunderstorms seem to be more concentrated near a broad area of Low Pressure. That low is about 400 miles south-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands. The chance remains low, 20%, for this system to become a Tropical Cyclone within the next 48 hours. Those conditions are forecasted to become more conducive for some development as the system moves west. The number of stronger Tropical Waves moving off the coast of Africa has increased this week. Something that is to be expected as the Hurricane Season continues.
The remnants of Emily continue to hang on out over open Atlantic waters, 715 miles south-southeast of Cap Race Newfoundland, and there very little if any for the the system to redevelop. Should dissipate over the next 48 hours.
