Trinity Marine Layoffs

Trinity Marine Products, one of the country's largest inland barge makers, says that a decrease in demand has forced them to lay off 190 of its workers. The company says the cuts will affect both hourly and administrative employees. City officials say only a small portion of the plants' employees actually reside in Brusly, but most of the workers at the plant pass through town daily. The cuts will cause several small businesses to suffer.
