Five days after after the crash that put Tiger Woods in the spotlight for something other than golf the world's highest paid athlete took a swing at putting the rumors to rest, using his website to admit what he calls "transgressions" and apologizing to his family and fans. In the written statement, Woods says: "I have not been true to my values...I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family." The statement came shortly after US Weekly magazine posted a report about a woman claiming to have had an affair with Woods, including a voicemail she allegedly received. NBC has not confirmed it is Woods voice on the tape, but in his written statement Woods says "I have not been true to my values." He asks for privacy and ends with a promise to be the husband and father his family deserves and an apology to those who have supported him. The admission comes on the day Woods' charity golf tournament teed off in California without its host, who bowed out after the accident. Meanwhile, the Florida Highway Patrol released its written report and pictures detailing Woods' trip from his driveway into a neighbor's tree early Friday morning. After almost a week of silence and speculation the biggest question now: Can the golfer known for amazing saves on the course turn a tarnished image back into gold?
