The swine flu has claimed even more lives in Louisiana.
The State Health Department reports that three more people died last week from the virus. One person was from New Orleans. The others were as far west as Waint Landry Parish. The death toll from swine flu in the state is now up to 14.
Meanwhile, the first doses of the swine flu vaccine should come in Wednesday.
State health officials will send the 26,000 doses to 50 pediatricians around the state.
The first shipment is a nasal spray, for kids ages 2 to 5. The shot vaccine vaccine should come in next week. Those doses will be given to health care workers and pregnant women.
Louisiana should be getting more vaccine each week, there after.
