NATIONAL NEWS (KETK) — Officials with Angelina County tell KETK, Amanda McAdams, 26, of Huntington, received probation after her newborn baby tested positive for meth.
The baby tested positive on March 6, 2013, by follicle forensics.
Authorities say McAdams spiked her coffee with meth shortly before giving birth to her baby boy because she was "tired."
McAdams also tested positive for meth use on January 11 and again on March 6.
The baby's father, Joseph Broussard, 42, also pleaded guilty last week to child endangerment and in turn received a five-year probation sentence.
