BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Nowadays there are apps for almost everything. With over 500,000 apps on Apple’s “App Store” and more than 450,000 on Google’s “Play Store” it seems there are more programs for wireless devices than computers.
NBC33’s tech corner will now provide comparison and review of popular apps for both iOS and Android mobile operating systems.
With the advent of the smart phone companies have introduced a faster and easier way to track usage and pay bills online. Cell phone companies have created apps designed for the consumer to be able to monitor their usage as well as pay their bills using a smart-phone.
The iTunes App Store and Google Play both have apps for various mobile service providers which allow users to instantly get information on their current bill, as well as manage account features.
Financial institutions also provide apps that feature up to date account balances, as well as the ability to transfer funds between bank accounts. Other companies such as car insurance companies and Internet service providers are now gravitating towards the convenience and ease of use that smart-phone apps have created.
Search for your current monthly service providers on Google Play or the iTunes App Store to see if these services are available to you.
