An Erwinville family is asking for help after they say a pack of honey bees has taken over their home.

The family says they first noticed a small swarm of bees on the outside of their house a week ago, but when they tore off some siding they realized what they were actually dealing with.

Hundreds of thousands of the bees had turned the inside wall into a massive honeycomb.

Family members say they've tried just about everything to get rid of the bees.

They say the bees are slowly making their way inside the home--forcing the children to sleep on air matresses in the living room.

"It's scary for me because i'm deathly allergic. One sting and I could die," said resident Misty Porche.
"I have an epishot at the pharmacy right now for me to go pick it up."

The family says they called an exterminator but no one will go out there for less than $800.

And they say that's something they just can't afford.

They also say they're not the only ones fighting the honeybees.

They say neighbors all along their street are having the same problem.

We talked to West Baton Rouge Parish officials. They say no program is in place to remove the bees, and they can't spend public money on private property.
