BATON ROUGE, LA (NBC33) — Very strong weather surprised many in the Baton Rouge area.

Heavy rain, along with extremely strong winds made it's way through Baton Rouge just after 3:00.   NBC33 has recieved numerous reports of downed trees, power outages, and property damage.

We're still tracking the storms as they make their way out of the state.   We'll have a complete recap of the damage and the storms on NBC33 News at 10:00.
